Why to use a Mineral-Based sunscreen

Mineral based sunscreen is the future of sunscreen.

The natural mineral ingredient used in the mineral suncream is Zinc Oxide. This mineral acts as a protective barrier in your skin. Unlike nano ingredients commonly used in suncreams, the non- nano mineral doesn’t penetrate deep into your skin or into your bloodstream. It basically acts as a protective physical barrier that reflects sunrays making it an ideal protection against both UVA and UVB rays. This makes it a broad-spectrum suncream that is very effective.

The four other ingredients we use are: beeswax that acts as a protective wax, organic shea butter, organic coconut oil and rose essential oil. The minimal use of ingredients for our suncream makes it an ideal suncream for most skin types. It is non-irritating and hypoallergenic making it a great for sensitive skin.

Zinc Oxide in no-nano form in our suncream is also safe for coral reefs. Conventional suncreams are full of harmful nano chemicals, and other detrimental ingredients for marine wildlife and for humans. But Zinc Oxide based mineral suncreams are approved to be used in coral reef areas.

Unlike other conventional ones, we made our suncream with as minimal ingredients as possible because we love to take care of our skin and we do not like the use of products full of ingredients that are harmful for our system. The skin is the most predominant organ in our body and what you use will have an effect on it. That is why we preferred to make a suncream that is beneficial for us. The future of natural suncream is Zinc Oxide a mineral with several properties for the skin such as soothing the skin.
